About the Inclusion Project

The Inclusion Project’s goal is to make Virginia’s schools and communities more inclusive for people with disabilities.

How do we make Virginia more inclusive?

• The Virginia Commonwealth University Partnership for People with Disabilities, funded by the Virginia Department of Education, recruits youth leaders with disabilities and arranges time for them to meet.

• Youth leaders 

  • They use their lived experiences to inform project work.
  • They creatively collaborate with one another to develop products (link to product page) and initiatives (link to inclusion day grants for school) that build awareness about the lives of people with disabilities and support inclusion in schools and communities.
  • They share information and products.
